Meetu’s little girl is learning all about gender roles and what she can use to her advantage.

It makes me wonder whether the gender stereotypes are really learnt or whether women just are smarter. :-)

    Thanks, IdeaSmith! I’m convinced at least some of the gender stereotypes are in-built. I definitely did not teach my girl the concept of matching bangles and being excited about a new pair of clothes.

    My son could hardly be bothered about what he’d like to wear. He could spend the entire year wearing track pants if you let him be. And he’s also never said, “I want to be a girl”

    Of course, these things can’t be generalized to apply to all girls and boys, but yet…
